May 2nd Board Meeting Minutes

CAPTAIN: SANDY RIPBERGER for NANCY SHIVERS:
Nancy Shivers is out of town this week.
The meeting was opened at 12:30p.m.

JEN FRENCH  was back from her success in the Semaine Olympique Francaise in France where she and J.P. Creignou battled the “mistral” (severe winds, 30-40 kts.!!) to hold 3rd place in the ISAF Sailing World Cup circuit. She reported that their SKUD is enroute to Weymouth, England for the next racing series. Jen will be leaving for the UK on Monday.   J.P. and Salty Sister Diane Fowler remained in France to spend some time with J.P.’s family. They’ll all meet up again in England at the Sailing Academy for 3-1/2 weeks training. Jen thanked us again for the support and mentioned that she still has her “Siren of the Sea” doll.

The Nominating Committee will meet May 30th: Sandy Ripberger, Barbara Arnold, Betty Proper, Carol Hansen and Charl Hadfield.

GUESTS: Irina Gagarine, from Salty Sisters Class of 2009, returned today as the guest of Sigrid Lovfald and Nancy Kadau. It was nice seeing her again.
