FOR THE

OPTIMIST MEMORIAL TROPHY

In Memory of Elizabeth Priestley

This is a perpetual trophy in the memory of Elizabeth Priestley who was a Salty Sister.

This trophy is to be awarded to the person who deserves recognition for exemplifying any one or all of the following qualities

either on the water:

1) Overcoming difficult or limiting personal circumstances to accomplish sailing skills,
2) Showing perseverance and exceptional effort to accomplish the art of sailing,

3) Winning a trophy or even just showing an improving trend,

4) Getting a Skipper’s Hat,

5) Showing good support for on the water events,

6) Active participation and good performance in race management

or life as a Salty Sister—(could be one or all of the following):

1) Good participation both at lunches and at special social events,

2) Running, or assisting with, special social events,

3) Good emissary for Salty Sisters with other women’s sailing groups,

4) Unique work as an Officer of Salty Sisters,

5) Showing special care or assistance to a Salty Sister.

Nomination forms due on Wednesday after the Welcome Back party

Trophy will be presented at the Annual Meeting
